Select a face-up card, then a destination column. Dragging also works.

Meet Scorpion

Keep these points in mind. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. Scorpion on dmzhx.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. The tableau has seven columns.

Read the opening cards

Three cards remain in the stock. All cards in the last three columns are face up. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down.

Check rank and suit together

A few details help explain this feature. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades.

Order within a group may vary

The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it.

Only Kings fill empty space

Keep these points in mind. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King.

Reveal the hidden cards

Keep these points in mind. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed.

Use the stock once

Keep these points in mind. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns.

Collect ordered runs

Keep these points in mind. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up.

Plan around blocked cards

Here are the details for this mode. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked.

Your separate local record

Here are the details for this mode. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you remove local saved games and results. Scorpion keeps a separate saved position when game saving is enabled. Random Scorpion shuffles are not advertised as guaranteed winnable. My Statistics records Scorpion starts and wins separately from other variants.
